Launched in May 2007, the program has already helped hundreds of Filipino families acquire their own dream homes, at the most affordable price and least interest rate.

The GSIS's Pre-owned Properties, the asset disposition program of the GSIS open to both GSIS members and non-members, both individual and institutional, offers a guaranteed 6% interest rate compounded annually, the lowest there is in the market. The program also offers a repayment term of up to 30 years, giving home buyers more flexibility.
Interested homebuyers need not pay an application fee and minimal documentary requirements are needed.

There is, however, a service fee which is three percent (3%) of the loan amount, and a Notarial Fee equivalent to one peso for every One Thousand pesos of the purchase price.
The GSIS's Pre-owned Properties Program has easy and multiple payment options, which include over-the-counter payments, post-dated checks, and salary deductions for members. A three-month grace period is also given before payment of the first monthly amortization.
In addition, the program also offers a 10% discount for cash sales and the lowest fire insurance premium in the market.

House and lots under the program are located at established communities with amenities. These homes are in over 70 locations, including key cities in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Leyte, Western Samar, and South Cotabato.
